Not every student learns through one modality. Studies have shown that students who are involved in group projects, where they are in meaningful conversations, and struggle are so much more successful. Some students have felt that school "isn't for them" but I want to change their mindset. Programable drones would bring a new level of excitement into classroom and harness different mindsets. Students would enter the modern day of technology and discover the love for learning in different modalities. Many of my students are starved for science and some students really only come to school for science projects. These drones would help students in 5 fifth grade classrooms as we add them to STEAM Fridays. They will probably run into many hurdles but having the satisfaction of getting their drones to fly, will be priceless!
