The iPads will be used as a center as well as an intervention tool for struggling learners. There are so many apps available that can be downloaded for all subject areas to make learning more fascinating. Kindergarten children can count, add, subtract, learn letters, listen to and read stories, watch educational videos, and trace (letters, numbers, shapes, words) using the tablets. The activities are endless! iPads will also help with our space limitations; we are in a very small room with 30 students, and we have to be creative with how we do things. iPads give them an opportunity to be teeny techies with a touch of their little fingers. The two computers in the room do not work well most times. The iPads will bring that form of technology back to our class in a more manageable way. It will also advance the hands-on learning approach needed for my struggling young learners. The apps loaded will allow children to practice skills taught throughout the day in an entertaining way that will keep them engaged in learning.
