Bringing these robots into the classroom will help students see at a young age that they can do this coding work, this programming work, this problem solving. We have a gender inequality and an ethnicity inequality in fields that require this work. We want students to learn at a young age that they ALL can do this type of work. These particular robots were designed for young children to be able to code. We will use these robots to help us solve problems with sequences of code. These sequences will involve mathematics; determining direction and number of spaces to move. These robots will also help us learn to try things out and then revise our thinking to try again.
