For many students reading comes naturally, except unfortunately not for all. For those students with unique learning styles, more time and personalized strategies are needed to help develop their reading skills. Although our staff works on a daily basis with these young readers, there are still some environmental distractions that interfere with their learning: siblings studying nearby, working parents, pets, and other unpredictable events during the day. When consulting with teachers, they felt like noise reducing headphones with microphones would make a huge difference in the educational experience for these students. They would not have to plug and unplug their headphones to talk and they could have a more focused time during instruction. This is particularly helpful during small group, where increased participation when practicing reading can help make incredible individualized gains. Students, parents, and teachers alike would greatly appreciate these headphones which are an unaffordable luxury for most families that I work with. Thank you for considering!
