The students in my class would use the MacBook daily during small group instruction time. The students will be able to do reading activities. They will be able to create mini movies and musicals as they explore the world of Literacy! My classroom is far from a 1:1 environment (more like 1:19) it is very difficult for my students to have access to technology. We have one very dated desktop in our class that is difficult for the students to manipulate. If they had the opportunity to be provided with a MacBook they would be able to create stories as well as music. They would be able to explore the World of Literacy in a whole new light! The students would be able to work in cooperative learning groups or independently. Our classroom is not at the level of a technologically advance classroom. This grant will help tremendously to close that gap just a little more.
