In the past three years, our school has been using e-book for its core classes. English Language Arts curriculum and resource materials are only available online. While it may be feasible for the advance students to navigate through the pages of the text and learn concepts easily, it is far more difficult for the lower level students to comprehend. Currently, we are working on close reading strategies, and they are learning annotating skills. I found that my lower level students grasp the idea of annotating a text much better when we use symbols and different colors to highlight important information while reading. The printer and cartridge will be used to print my students culminating end product. They feel a sense of accomplishment when they have something tangible in their hands to show for the work they have done. If they can see it, they will believe it!
