My school is a title one school, where all of our students receive a free lunch and uniform assistance, we have bright students who are eager to learn, and try their best to succeed...but when they really try hardest is when they want to win. My students neighborhood is not safe enough to play outside, so when they are school I satisfy their need to play and socialize through education. Children are competitive and games and activities that challenge each other, as an individual or a team are the best way to get my students fully engaged and trying their hardest to acquire and implement their new skills. So how does donation help? With your donation I will be able to receive activities and games that I can use to demonstrate what we are learning, after which I can continue to use your donated items as small group, as well as a station or learning center and as a fun competitive game based on their newly acquired knowledge and skills. My class will evolve from talking about science and reading how things work to actually being able to SEE the process in action and most importantly to EXPERIENCE how things function allowing for a deeper understanding. I can better recall what I did and tell you step by step how I did it and what the results were as opposed to what an entire paragraph said and what it meant..
