If funded my students will have a warm and cozy rug to read on daily. I will deliver my whole group instruction while the class is on the rug. Students will also be able to curl up and read independently in a soft and cozy environment. Students will be able to feel comfortable and hopefully, want to spend more time reading and growing their little minds. This rug will also serve as a gathering spot for my students to play games, complete stem projects, and just simply gather with partners to complete tasks. The rug would be located in front of my smartboard so my students would be able to utilize the smartboard and be in a spot other than a hard classroom chair.
