These materials will improve the environment in my French class by making it warm, inviting, and stimulating. This will help the students feel comfortable so that they will be happy about learning and will be engaged in the lessons. I teach using a very interactive style which requires the students to participate by taking an active role in the learning process. They need to have visuals to fully understand what is being taught. Towards that end, I requested a document reader. With it, I will be able to immediately showcase my students work, which immediately validates their input. The colorful foam board, mounting tape, and self-laminating sheets will allow me to create signs with high-frequency vocabulary that will be appealing to the students. The dry-erase markers and erasers will allow me to add new vocab. as it comes up, so that my lessons are always comprehensible. The sheet protectors make for a simple way to protect printed reading materials that are at the right level, current, and relevant to the students. Although I teach in a very natural way, I am constrained by a very limited time. And, it is for this reason that I need to include as much visual assistance as possible to make my lessons comprehensible.
