My students struggle in the area of reading and writing. I am a firm believer that students will read if it is interesting to them. Scholastic News and Science Spin always have interesting topics that my students love to read .Along with the magazine, there are videos to watch and corresponding worksheets that reinforce a language/grammar/ or reading skill.Each month a new issue will be sent to me to use in my classroom. The magazine will cover the state standards for that month as well as provide my students with news and information that is happening all around the world. I love to teach especially when my students are engaged! It's important to me to make learning fun. With this subscription not only will I be able to do that but I will also help y students succeed and grow as learners. With the document camera, I will be able to project the magazine for the class to see so we can read along together and look at pictures as well as displaying the corresponding worksheets and do some together as a class.
