Our current piano lab is set up with inappropriate tables and chairs that are not designed for keyboards. Rather, they are ensemble chairs and banquet folding tables that are too tall and chairs that are too short. These items also take up a substantial amount of space in our classroom hampering experiences of other music classes. In addition, the current set up could lead to potential manual injuries for students if they continue with their studies. By getting new keyboard stands and benches, students will be able to experience playing piano in an ergonomically appropriate height as to prevent manual injury as well as an appropriate experience in comparison to playing an acoustic piano. How wonderful to play correctly!
