Hello! I am a business and computer CTE teacher at a Career and Arts Magnet school. Our school mission is to provide academic support to students who need an educational experience beyond sitting at a desk. We draw from a county-wide area, and due to transportation, the majority or our students cannot attend any activities or events outside of school hours. We have so much to do within classroom time! We serve a very high socio-economically disadvantaged population - we are one of 3 schools in our district that serve free breakfast and lunch to all students. Many of our students are also at high dropout risk and we are seeking to engage them with dynamic and hands-on learning activities. We have a very high teacher retention rate and are working hard to give our kids a stable and loving environment in which they can feel safe to express themselves and reach for their creative potential.
