Hello! My name is Laura. I am 24 years old. I hold two credentials as well as a Masters in Educational Psychology. I am a Special Education teacher, currently teaching thirteen 5th & 6th grade students! My students have a range of abilities, from teamwork and collaboration to creativity and imagination. I believe that "every child can learn, just not on the same day or in the same way" (George Evans). I implement standards-based instruction and with the proper supports and accommodations my students will flourish! Our Mission Statement: At Cabrillo, we guarantee to educate, inspire and empower one another. Cabrillo Elementary is a wonderful site where teachers and staff foster a great learning community. Additionally, we are a low income school with more than half of our population identifying as being socioeconomically disadvantaged. This is my first year teaching full-time and would LOVE your support!
