If a student wants to search for a book, they can easily access the database with these laptops dispersed throughout the library. The computer lab is almost always full, so with these Chromebooks, more students will have computer access. Information literacy is the big push in our library and computers are an essential tool for the students to access and synthesize information. Some of the students do not have access to computers at home and rely on the library to finish homework, research, and just surf the internet. These computers will hopefully bring more students into the library and help cultivate a learning environment.
