Many of my students are still learning basic reading concepts such as holding a book up right and turning the pages one at a time. It helps when we are learning these concepts when the students start off with board books which are a little bit sturdier and the pages are thicker. I want to be able to provide my students with a variety of books that are engaging and fun to look at. I myself try to go to the library every couple weeks to borrow books so that I can bring it back to the classroom. It would be nice to have a set of books in the classroom of all themes and subjects. Reading is so important and I want to instill a love of reading in all my student when they are young. It is a skill and passion I want them to have so that they can continue to be successful.
