Students have experienced so many emotions in this past year as their world was turned upside down throughout the stay at home orders and the comprehensive distance learning as a result of the pandemic. I strive to meet the social and emotional needs of students so that they can be better prepared to learn and grow into the best version of themselves both socially and academically. These box sets of books are the perfect little stories to help us learn to understand our complex emotions and what to do with them. I will read aloud these stories and give students access to read alone to help us regulate, relate and reason by supporting one another through story. It is connection and empathy that will pave the positive path forward.
