My students need many manipulatives because the manipulatives can help them have a better grasp of the Math concepts. Math is only taught in English and can be very difficult for them because their first language is Spanish. We do need to accelerate our students at Blanton at a very fast pace. The Math Counters Library can be used whole group, small group, in centers, or individually. The Calendar Math Activity Program would be used on a daily basis so the students can grasp the understanding of not only a calendar but also learn how to work together to complete the calendar activities. I would love to use the Magnetic Math Manipulatives Library in whole group and also let the students use them alone in a center. With a better understanding of the Math concepts students will have a much better feeling about the subject and also be even more self confident.I would also love to have headphones for my students so they can work with technology during centers or when they need a little extra help with the math program we use at Blanton. Students would feel more confidant if they had personalized math technology time. All students must be financially literate to be able to get ahead in their future.
