Using books with repetitive speech sounds helps students practice what they are learning in group speech therapy. These books will be used in individual and small group instruction to help students hear and produce specific sounds multiple times. Good literature supports good readers. When children are unable to read clearly, reading can become a challenge and disliked part of the day. Supplying stories like, "Is Your Mama a Llama?", "Duck on a Bike", and "A Rainbow of My Own" helps keep children interested in reading, and practicing their speech skills. Speaking clearly is an essential part of creating life long learners, and engaged students. These books will help children with speech difficulties practice the patterns in a fun and interesting way.
