After researching the benefits, I have decided that implementing flexible seating in my classroom is going to completely transform the way my students learn! With the rigor and expectations of today's kindergarten curriculum, students have to stay engaged and on-task for longer periods of time. I have found that this can be very overwhelming for little learners, and sometimes results in inattentiveness and behavior problems. Every child is unique, and not all of them learn best sitting in a standard classroom chair. I want to be able to provide my young learners with a variety of work spaces, and allow them to choose the one that works best for them. Your donation will greatly help with this goal! The wobble chairs, balance balls, and wobble cushions will allow them movement as they engage in learning centers and activities around the classroom. And while some children may prefer standard chairs, having a bouncy band attached to the bottom will provide a place for them to move their feet, which will increase engagement and on-task behavior! I look forward to seeing how flexible seating transforms my students' learning throughout the day! Thank you for helping make a difference in the lives of my students!
