These gross and fine motor materials will provide our students with new opportunities to work on their gross and fine motor skills to improve their ability to participate in their school program.
Our students are working on their strength, balance, coordination, and fine and gross motor skills. The rocker board will allow us to have student's sit or stand while challenging their balance and building strength to allow them to improved their postural control to participate in school activities. While on the rocker board we can have them reach for bean bags or play with the Magna-Tiles. We have requested fine motor activities such as puzzles, magnets and pencil grips to work on fine motor skills and to allow student to improve their grasp on writing materials. As well as Fidget toys for our students to keep restless fingers busy, bodies relaxed, and minds focused.
These materials will allow them to practice and improve the skills necessary to help them become more independent and to be able to participate in typical school activities. From sitting at their desks for table top activities to playing on the playground with their friends at recess! The balance games will help them walk around their classroom without as much help. The fine motor games will help them to complete classroom activities and work.
