In kindergarten, wiggles are inevitable. As a matter of fact, in my classroom, we welcome them! My students need a flexible seating option that helps them work through the wiggles. While learning styles are always changing, some kindergarten students work best when they do not have to focus both on sitting still and completing a task. Flexible seating options, such as a Hokki stool, give students the opportunity to be successful by enabling them to wiggle in a way that keeps them seated and focused on the task at hand. As teachers, we encourage creativity and support our students' efforts to stay engaged. Flexible seating options give us the unique opportunity to provide the least restrictive environment for our learners.
