Hello! I'm Ms. Garcia a second year science teacher. Having seen a huge discrepancy in the way our students are taught science, I decided to take action and become an educator. I teach 9th grade biology to newcomers. Newcomers are students that have been in the United States for less than 3 years. In our program most of these children have just arrived within less than a year. They have come to the United States to look for a better life and future, many of them escaping traumatic experiences from back home. It is such a pleasure and privilege to work with these students as they discover the world of science and develop their English. I believe in my students and I hope that you do too. I would like to thank you in advance from all of us.
