If my students can have access to engaging and authentic literature in their native language, this will foster their love for reading and to never stop learning no matter what language they choose to enrich their learning needs. My partner teacher (Dual Language English) and I (Dual Language Spanish) will be utilizing a Reciprocal Teaching model for the students to work together in Guided Reading Groups, and the use of higher level books will foster thinking, rich academic conversations and engagement in both languages. This is why we need your support to fund a project that will impact, not only this class, but others to come in 6th grade!

About my class
