After teaching for 17 years, I have come to realize that the students work best if they are comfortable in their environment. In order to meet the needs of my students, flexible seating choice is the answer! All students learn differently; some sit still quietly, while others need movement. Giving the students flexible seating choices will give them a chance to be successful in their learning. Some students need to move, so they might use a yoga ball for a chair to bounce quietly. Other students like to sit or lay down on the floor, so a nice carpet space, pillows or floor seats to use makes working more comfortable. Last, but not least, storage for school supplies is needed so that there is a spot for everything when a desk is not being used. Finally, every classroom needs a library and to have it be portable is even better! As you can see there are many uses for the items that I have requested. Please help us be the best flexible classroom that we can be and help us achieve more.
