As a teacher, when students are learning at home, there are so many things that we have to consider in addition to our regular curriculum... How's the lighting on my camera? Can they hear me? Can they see me? How do I engage them? The materials for this project are things that I would never have thought of needing as a teacher, but I am coming to find out that the smallest things make the biggest difference when it comes to distance learning. The keyboard and laptop stand will allow me to keep my video camera (that's integrated into the laptop) far enough away from my face so that it is not so close to my face. The laptop stand will also help with my posture so that I do not have to slouch over my computer screen all day. As a math teacher, I plan on using an iPad to deliver the curriculum. There will be times that I need to write mathematical expressions, that is cumbersome to have to type out. With the Apple Pen, I can use my time more effectively by writing the mathematical expressions neatly on the math applications. This will make learning easier for students because they can clearly follow along with the content I deliver without having to wait for me to spend the time typing out mathematical expressions.
