When you are in my classroom, you learn to love to read! I have a book for every level reader and every interest. Every child in my class reads during independent reading time. I teach sixth and seventh grade in a high-needs, inner-city school district. Many of my students read many years below grade level and are "turned-off" to reading when I meet them. I provide plenty of books for the children and nooks in the room for reading. I like when the students are out of their desks and comfortable for reading time.
