Our school is a 75% free and reduced lunch school. We have many students who are on welfare and can't afford books of their own at home. We have many Spanish speakers who can't speak or read english well. Many of our students come from a single family home and don't often see their parent at night due to having more than one job. Getting students to read in this area is tough, but with the right books to read maybe we can get them to do so.
