While my students are working independently, they are able to choose a location around the room that works best for them. Students may choose to sit at a different table or on the floor with a clipboard. I have noticed that my students seem more engaged in the task at hand when they have a choice in their seating. For the most part, the kids make good choices about where they will sit and get their work completed. The seating I have chosen will be a more comfortable choice than the rug and the kids will love them. They are lightweight and easily manageable for kids.
