We don't "Monkey Around" when it comes to reading! Hi, I teach 1st Grade. My school only has one First Grade Class. The majority of students who enter my classroom are usually only reading consonant, vowel, consonant (CVC) words. We work very hard learning to read at the beginning of the year, and as the year progresses we begin reading to learn.
