This past year several teachers in my school, including myself decided to allow students to have more choice throughout their school day. One choice students were given was to choose a successful spot that they could work at during reading and math. My students loved having this choice and they began taking more ownership over their own learning. While some students still preferred the comfort of their own desk, many chose spots all around the room, with some even standing for most of the day. My goal this year is to continue to build on having flexible seating options in my classroom. The hokki stools will be the perfect fit for students that struggle to keep their attention and focus, but also crave being able to move. They will allow students to be comfortable while learning and also help them to stay active! As a teacher, it is important to meet the needs of your students and I know that these stools will do just that.
