As our school district transitions to a personalized learning and blended learning model, our special needs students stand to benefit substantially. Through alternative educational methods, my special needs students can break through their current learning barriers. I am moving away from the paper and pencil instruction and integrating more technology and online learning programs to better facilitate my student learning programs. Special needs students often struggle with a traditional school-room model. As blended learning and teaching aids become available in the form of technology and programming, I hope to give my students access to the best ways of learning. In my room we don't always have access to our own personal devices for student learning. My hope is to get enough Chromebooks for my students that will allow them to discover new potentials in their impressionable early years.
