The addition of this tablet into my classroom will give many opportunities to my students. We allow students to use their cell phones for research in the classroom (since they have computers in their pockets) but not every student has a cell phone of their own. This causes students to be left out or we must partner students and they do not get the full experience. Many of our students lack research and technology skills and this will give them an excellent resource for practice. The tablet will also allow them an exciting way to get into reading, practice games, and practice with technology. Technology is a 21st century skill that students need for every career path. Giving them access to technology in the classroom is vital.
