I am a kindergarten classroom teacher, working with sixteen students. My classroom is a safe learning environment where students strengths and interests are used to engage and motivate them while they work towards individualized goals to develop new skills. My classroom is a space filled with lots of love, activity, and discovery. Students are encouraged to take charge of their own learning by engaging in open-ended activities and hands-on explorations. There is a focus on developing a rich vocabulary as students are encouraged to communicate and collaborate with peers about their learning.
