The books that I am requesting for my classroom will not only help my students be able to work on different language arts skills, such as reading, comprehension and understanding, but will also help them to be able to become life-long loves of reading. I want every student in my class to be able to jump into whatever book they are reading and dive into a different world and not be limited. I would like to implement a reading workshop into my classroom, and by providing my students with books this would allow them to have time in my class to silently read. I want to be able to have the students read aloud to me with books that they want to read. Every student should be able to find a book that fits them both academically and personally.
