Hi! I am a Wellness Counselor at the Liberal Arts and Science Academy. I teach students about different social-emotional learning skills and mindfulness. In addition, I provide personal and crisis counseling, as needed. In 2015-2016 my students spearheaded the creation of the Mindfulness Trail on our campus. They researched how to build the trail, what kinds of plants would be drought-tolerant, selected the site, and obtained donated supplies from the community. Since its completion, my students now teach others how to use the Mindfulness Trail to cope with stress and anxiety. It's been amazing to see my students' leadership skills grow, and see the daily impact of their project on our campus!
