First Grade is Fun!!! This is year will be fun and packed with 180 days filled with learning. We are looking forward to the new and exciting opportunities that first grade offers. We are excited about beginning our journey towards a great year, filled with academic success for everyone. All my students come from high poverty families, making the purchase of back to school supplies difficult to purchase. The supplies will be used to ensure the students don't have to worry about their school materials, making them able to apply their focus more towards their academic success. Pencils and lined paper are used daily in first grade. The students use these materials to write words, create sentences and eventually write different types of writing pieces. The folders will be used to transport their homework and to signed papers home and back to school safely. Also the back pack seat buddies will be used eliminate some of the disruptions that are cause do the unable to closely access their materials.
