Obtaining a set of tablets for just my class would eliminate the need to share devices that may or may not work properly. The devices will be in the classroom ready to utilize without having to wait for another class to finish. The online educational programs that students utilized are both engaging and motivating, but if they do not have access to the tablets for the recommend time, the online programs are not as effective. Data has proven that if students go on Lexia, ST Math and I-Ready for a designated period throughout the week, that they will show growth in both reading and math. Expecting students to go on the computer at home is not practical because most of the students that I work with do not have computers to use at home.
