My students need a variety of equipment to help them get healthy and stay fit. Our lifetime fitness class was created to help students who struggle with their weight and for students who do not enjoy the competitive sport classes. We are excited to have this new class, but also struggle with minimal equipment. These light weight dumbbells will help build muscle tone on days when we walk, focus on muscle build, and will push them to their maximum effort in group class. Studies have shown that the more students are active the better they perform in their academic classes. By your generous donation to our project you are not only giving our students a new experience with different equipment, but ultimately helping them get fit and stay healthy. Many of my students cannot afford to pay for a gym membership and many are not involved in after school sports. This will give them the experience of working with equipment they wouldn't have access to otherwise. They will have the confidence of working with equipment that suits them and their needs. My students will walk away from my class having the tools and knowledge to live a healthy lifestyle.
