A key component to a successful comprehensive reading program falls within the guided reading text itself! As our young readers are learning to bolster their vocabulary, grow their knowledge of spelling patterns, and build their comprehension skills, they require texts they truly find interesting at an appropriate reading level. We are looking to build our access to these "Leveled High Interest Texts" in our classroom! My students can't wait to explore different worlds through fantasies, fairy-tales, and historical pieces. Help our students expand their horizons as they travel to the times of Ancient Egypt or to different worlds far away from our own!
