Science and social studies center activities are needed to continue the learning process independently. This will help them experience the curriculum needed in a different media form. The games are to show them that learning can be fun. I want them, to be as excited about learning as I am. The science and social studies file folder activities can put curriculum material Into their reach that will make it fun and exciting.
The math center activities are so that after a concept is taught they are able to practice the skill independently and with a peer. Math is fun and exciting and they will feel the same way. My students struggle with multiplication and division fluency the division and multiplication center activities will help with closing that gap. The reading center activities will give students the extra practice on skills that are geared toward their academic skill level. Reading informational text game will help my students become better at reading for informational purposes. The centers will also give them the experience of self monitoring and self correcting skills needed to take them to the next level.
