One of the first things you see as you enter our room is our large meeting rug. It was once a vibrant, clean, welcoming area, but unfortunately the rug is six years old and has become dull, stained, and uninviting. Each morning you will find our students sitting on this rug solving problems together as a team, singing songs, or simply listening to a story. I would like for my students to be able to do all of this on a rug that is clean and gives them a space of their own without feeling crowded. The students will be more successful and comfortable sitting and playing on a new nature themed rug that fits into our STEM school environment.
