My students are so excited when they get to come to my music room! Our school serves over 1000 students and our music time is precious - seeing each class once every 10 school days makes it challenging to cover all of our national, state, and county standards. My school is filled with children of many different cultures and music is a way that they can connect to their surroundings. Language is sometimes an issue, but with our ESOL program and Music classes for everyone, we are able to reach all of our students. I believe that all children should have memorable musical experiences that will compete their education and compliment what they learn in the academic classroom.
