My fifth grade students are energetic, enthusiastic and impoverished. They play hard, dream big and deserve a better life than they've been given. They love their Title I school, oblivious to the way the "other half" lives. They do the best they can with the little they've got. The teachers are doing all they can to motivate, inspire and teach the state mandated tested objectives. We do this by building relationships with our students and their families, running a basketball program/study hall after school and by doing some serious goal setting with each student. Parents are truly appreciative of the opportunities given their children at our Pre-K-fifth grade elementary school.
