Teaching students wth special needs comes with many rewards and challenges. The more tools I have in my classroom, the more I can keep students engaged. I use center time to give students the opportunity to explore new skills on their own. Center time really helps them practice a skill that was taught during a lesson. This is where I can zone into specific difficulties students are having to bridge learning gaps The centers that would help me from Lakeshore Learning, are visuals for learning letters, a timer for structure and class organization during center time and a variety of fun ways to learn numbers and letters. These items will help keep learning exciting.
