My class is requesting a desktop computer, monitor, wireless keyboard, printer, and ink to help meet the new Common Core Standards involving technology. This project is important to our class, since many of my students are just learning how to use the technology that is required for the new Common Core Standards. Students will be able to access and use a wide variety of learning materials with this new technology. Using technology will allow my students the necessary resources that are needed to master Kindergarten skills. This technology will also help improve my teaching style, as I will be able to create interactive and engaging lesson for my curious Kindergartners. Many of our new Common Core Standards require student to conduct simple research and create final project to share with the class. The desktop would allow my students the ability to share their work with the class. Student will be excited to print out their writings to create lasting memories. Providing my class with this technology will open up many new learning opportunities, which will ultimately create more college ready students.
