Students will be introduced to an uncommon sport to many North Carolinians: hockey. Students will have the opportunity to learn a sport that requires coordination of more than just hands and feet. Gaining skills with a hockey stick, will strengthen or introduce the skills needed for sports such as baseball, lacrosse, and golf. Floor hockey builds character as teamwork and cooperation skills are highly important. Meanwhile, a tremendous amount of cardiovascular endurance is necessary for short and long bouts of small sided games. Lastly, the students will have an opportunity to stimulate the mind more than many sports require. The amount of hand eye coordination necessary for floor hockey leads to great learning experiences!
