Each day my students are given the opportunity to select a book from our class library to read independently. Many times they approach the book shelves and have a hard time finding anything of interest because the pickings are slim. I want to add new experiences to their lives by providing them with high interest books to read and take them to places they have never been before. My hope is this project will add life into our class library and allow them to find a book quickly and not want to put it down. Most of my students struggle with reading already and do not like to read when asked. I know their attitudes will change and their desire to pick up a book will increase if our class library has more excitement and higher interest books to offer.
