Welcome to my classroom, I am very proud to work with a vibrant group of 4th and 3rd graders in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles. Currently we are preparing to dive into the inquiry and research of the community murals located on and off the school campus. Students are learning about the effects a mural can make on its surroundings. Since murals are an important vehicle for cultural expression, public education and the creation of community. Students will observe and analyze murals. Students will explore symbolism, the history of and within the actual mural. Students will write about a chosen mural and will create their own digital mural.
