My students love to move and groove, so I am sure they will love this new program. A cardio drumming workout improves physical fitness, eye-hand coordination, and rhythm. In addition, it relieves stress, encourages creativity, encourages social interaction, and is a tool for mental balance. This program is for the whole mind and body. As a recently certified Drums Alive instructor, I am excited to share this new workout program with all of my students in grades CD-5th, which is approximately 830 elementary students. Accommodations and modifications can be made to meet the needs of individual students. In addition to use in the PE classroom, I will provide cardio drumming and fitness clubs for the students throughout the year. Students will have the opportunity to participate and even perform at different school-wide functions. Providing a variety of equipment for all physical education students can be expensive. In a field that thrives on movement, it's important that we limit down time and have all students engaged in the activities from the time they enter the gym doors. By supporting this project, all students will be engaged, creating, and moving towards physical and mental success!
