These materials will make a huge difference in communication, participation, and understanding of content in the classroom. Many of our students come from low socio-economic communities and may not have access to these items. They will now be exposed to a world they otherwise might not experience outside of the classroom. My students are multi-modal learners who thrive when offered visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning opportunities. These materials are essential to engaging students and enhancing the learning experience. Students will utilize the headphones for independent listening. Students will listen to auditory books, adapted text, in addition to other resources that will enhance content. The speakers will be utilized during whole and small group sessions of reading, among other forms of instruction. The printer, ink, and paper will provide a deeper understanding of curriculum through color pictures and provide students with visual representations of objects and ideas for those who need it.
